Numerical and Field Investigations of Tremors Induced by Thick-Hard Strata Fracture

چکیده
Large energy mining-induced tremors are generally caused by the rupture of thick-hard overlying strata, and roadway is prone to rockburst danger under its dynamic load. Through numerical simulations, laws influencing factors stress, deformation, fracture (red bed breaking) were revealed, results verified field observations. The main conclusions obtained: (1) tensile stress compressive concentrated in middle rock both sides goaf, which shear failure type tremors, respectively; (2) after goaf was formed, around transformed into stress. When a strong tremor occurred, increased further. Meanwhile, when it close strength coal roadway, occurred; (3) released larger than that failure. With increase roof, also increased; (4) according frequency-spectrum located extremely strata above working face Baodian mine, load generated superimposed on high static very likely induce instability roadway. research have certain guiding significance for prevention mines with roofs.

متن کاملNumerical investigations of MRI RF field induced heating for external fixation devices
BACKGROUND The magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) radio frequency (RF) field induced heating on external fixation devices can be very high in the vicinity of device screws. Such induced RF heating is related to device constructs, device placements, as well as the device insertion depth into human subjects. In this study, computational modeling is performed to determine factors associated with suc...
متن کاملIn Situ Optical Investigations of Hypervelocity Impact Induced Dynamic Fracture
One of the prominent threats in the endeavor to develop next-generation space assets is the risk of space debris impact in earth’s orbit and micrometeoroid impact damage in deep space. To date, there is no study available which concentrates on the analysis of dynamic crack growth from hypervelocity impacts on such structures, resulting in their eventual catastrophic degradation. Experiments con...
متن کاملEBIC investigations of thick SOI layers
2014 Thick SOI layers obtained by zone melting with and without seeds, respectively, have been investigated by EBIC with respect to their electrical properties (electrical homogeneity, electrically active defects, minority-carrier diffusion length). A variety of inhomogeneities being partly of complex origin has been observed. Their formation is affected by existence of seeds. Besides usual dar...
متن کاملRemodeled-matrix contraction by fibroblasts: numerical investigations
It is well known that the fibroblast-collagen-matrix contraction model is a unique way to study mechanical interactions that regulate wound contraction of connective tissue cells. This contraction, due to cell traction, plays important roles in wound healing and pathological contractures. A continuum model initially used for the study of mesenchymal morphogenesis is revisited and numerically in...
